Description
For today's teenagers, identity is no longer shaped mostly through direct experience, it is shaped through a screen, by likes, comparisons, and algorithms designed to keep them looking outward instead of inward. This talk unpacks what that shift actually costs young people: an identity built on other people's reactions instead of their own sense of self.
Drawing on years mentoring at-risk youth, Mark gives parents and young people a clear-eyed look at what's happening and a practical starting point for reclaiming self-definition. Honest and direct, without moral panic or easy answers.
